About Nimisha Sajayan
Nimisha Sajayan is an Indian actress who has made a name for herself in the Malayalam film industry. Born on January 11, 1997, in Kannur district, Kerala, Nimisha started her acting career in 2013 with the TV series Bhagyadevatha. Also she acted Marathi movie called Hawahawai. However, it was her performance in the film Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum in 2017 that garnered her critical acclaim and attention from audiences.
Nimisha’s breakthrough role was that of Sreeja, the female lead in Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, directed by Dileesh Pothan. Her portrayal of a young woman caught in a situation where her husband is accused of stealing a chain was praised by critics and audiences alike. The film won several awards, including the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam.
Following the success of Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, Nimisha went on to star in several other critically acclaimed films. In 2018, she starred in Eeda, directed by B Ajithkumar, which explores the complex social and political realities of contemporary Kerala. The film won the National Film Award for Best Film in Malayalam.
In 2019, Nimisha played the lead role in the film Chola, directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan. Her performance as a young girl who is kidnapped and taken on a journey through the dark underbelly of society was widely praised, and the film won the NETPAC Award for Best Asian Film at the Venice Film Festival.
Nimisha has also worked in other notable films such as Oru Kuprasidha Payyan (2018), Mangalyam Thanthunanena (2018), and Kappela (2020). Her performances in these films have cemented her position as one of the most talented young actresses in Malayalam cinema.
